It is located along the Beijiao New River in the north of Gaomi City, covering an area of 158 mu. The whole plant adopts the improved oxidation ditch process, with a total treatment scale of 100,000 tons/day: the scale of the phase-1 project is 50,000 tons/day, which was put into operation in May 2006; the scale of the phase-2 project is 50,000 tons/day, which was put into operation in June 2008. After the second upgrading, its effluent quality meets the level 1-A+ standard in Discharge Standard of Pollutants for Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant (GB18918-2002).
