On February 1, 2018, the Water Business Department of the group convened a meeting on water business operation of 2017 in the meeting room on the second floor.

      The meeting was chaired by Lin Jian, general manager of the Water Business Department. Wang Litong, vice president of the group, attended the meeting. There were a total of 96 participants, including members from the department, other subsidiaries and branches, and persons in charge of waterworks and financial affairs.
      At the meeting, Lin Jian, general manager of the Water Business Department, made the first speech. First, he expressed gratitude to all of the group's front-line workers for their contributions and efforts to reach the goal in 2017, and achievement in zero punishment and zero accident with up-to-standard emission. Second, he made summary of the water operations in 2017 and interpreted the speeches made by the chairman, President Zhang and General Manager Xiao at the annual meeting of the group on January 31. All units were required to "tap the potential and increase efficiency" in 2018, strengthen the fine management of all waterworks, raise the production efficiency, lower the production cost and ensure that the discharge standards are met. Third, he recognized the achievements of the Water Technology Committee established last October and announced the plan to set up a Water Operation Equipment Committee and a Water Operation and Management Committee in 2018, so as to solve various problems that arise in this regard and keep the steady development of water business. Fourth, he declared that all the units should sign the liability statement of 2018 after the Spring Festival.
      At the meeting, the general manager of each branch or subsidiary made comments and suggestions and brought forward questions, to which Mr. Lin Jian provided answers. Participants also exchanged ideas and said that the meeting, with certain focus, inspired them both in thought and professional proficiency, and helped enhance their confidence in work and sense of belonging to the enterprise.
The meeting not only acknowledged the achievements of the first-line operators in waterworks in the past year but also found deficiencies in the operation. Given the new situation and new environment confronting the group, new requirements have been imposed on the water business operation and management team – it should increase income and reduce expenditure, exploit potentialities and improve efficiencies, and bring the water related work to a new level in 2018.
