In early May 2017, Zhao Junxian, Chairman of Kangda Group, was invitedto have a business trip and friendly visit to the Constanta Province and the capital Bucharest of Romania. During the period, the Chairman met with Ms. Gavrilescu, the Romanian Vice Premier and Minister of the Environment, andMr. Xu Feihong, the Chinese Ambassador to Romania, and held cordial and friendly business negotiations with Mr. Tutuianu, the governor of Constanta Province, and Mr. Fagadau, the Mayor of provincial capital Constanta, then signed the Cooperation Agreement with Romanian RAJA Company.

At local time in the morning on May 6, the Environmental Protection delegation of Kangda conducted friendly exchanges and discussions with the Constanta Provincial Government, GovernorMr. Tutuianu and Provincial Government Officials on the topics ofenvironmental conditions, enhancing friendly exchanges with Kangda and promotingpragmatic cooperation of Kangda's projects in Constanta province.

      Governor Mr. Tutuianu said, "At present, the relations between China and Romania have witnessed a good momentum of development, and we hope to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation between Constantaprovince and provinces and cities in China. He is willing to work in his tenure with all levels of government in the province to provide support and help for the landing of Jingmai industrial park project in in Constanta province.


      On the evening of the 6th, RAJA Company paid a warm reception to Kangda Environmental Protection delegation. Felix, Chairman of Ruijie, expressed his warm welcome to Chairman Zhao Junxian and his delegation and sincerely hoped to cooperate with Kangda Environmental Protection in the environmental protection in Central and Eastern Europe. Chairman Zhao Junxian said, "I would like to thank Chairman Felix and Jiarui company for their hospitality to me and the delegation, and I hope the two sides to speed up the landing of Jingmai industrial park project, through which Environmental Protection and RAJACompany can expand bilateral strategic cooperation areas to jointly develop the market in Central and Eastern Europe."

 

The next morning, Chairman Zhao Junxian leading a delegation further discussed with executives of RAJACompany on the cooperation agreement at the company's headquarters.

   Under the co-supervision and testimony of the governor of Constanta province and the mayor of the capital Constanta, Environmental Protection delegation of Kangda and RAJA Company held a final consultation on the specific details of the cooperation between the two sides and finally reached an agreement. The two sides successfully signed the "Cooperation Agreement."

       Xu Feihong, Chinese Ambassador to the Romanian Embassy, cordially met with the delegation of Kanda. Chairman Zhao Junxian briefed Ambassador Xu on the development course, business segment and main achievements of the group, and shared the whole strategic concept of Central and Eastern Europe with Romania as a starting point. Ambassador Xu said that Romania is an important country in the "16 + 1 cooperation mechanism", and Constanta port is the largest one in the " three harborscooperation" area, so we have great cooperative potentiality and space in infrastructure construction and industrial park development. Ambassador Xu expressed his appreciation for the Kangda Group's positive response to the call of "the Belt and Road" and high expectations of the ambitions and market acumen of the Central and Eastern Europe as a whole for the Romanian environmentalprotection market ahead of schedule.

      Chairman Mr. Zhao Junxian with Vice President Zhou Haifan, had a brief and friendly meeting with Ms. Gavrilescu, Vice Premier and Minister of Environment Department of Romania. Gavrilescu said, "In recent years, China has invested a lot in pollution prevention, ecological protection, clean energy, garbage collection and so on, achieving remarkable results and obtaining rich experience to contribute to global climate governance. Romania and China enjoy a good foundation for cooperation in environmental protection, and Romania is willing to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with China through learning from each other's experience to realize a win-win situation.”
      The delegation also visited Brasov, Romania, and signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the mayor of Ferglas. The two sides hoped to further explore the environmental problems of the city.
