On March 30, 2017, Board Meeting of Kangda International Environmental Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Kangda EP) was held in Hong Kong. Zhao Juanxian, Chairman of the Board of Kangda EP, attended the meeting to report the work of board of directors and the completion of target tasks in 2016 to shareholders, and release the annual performance achieved by Kangda EP by December 31, 2016 to the public. On the morning of March 31, 2017, Zhao Juanxian held Kangda EP Annual Performance Conference 2016 in Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong. Several leaders of Kangda EP attended the conference, including Zhang Weizhong, Chief Executive Officer of Kangda EP, Liu Zhiwei, GuWeiping and Wang Litong, Executive Directors of Kangda EP,and other independent directors.
PPP Project Has Achieved a Remarkable Success
In recent years, the number of PPP projects in the traditional field of infrastructure implemented by National Development and Reform Commission has reached 15,966, including 8,838 major municipal engineering projects, account for 55% of the total number. Among all major municipal engineering projects, 1,687 are urban supply of water, heat and gas projects and 3,071 are sewage treatment projects, reaching a proportion as high as 54%. Kangda EP has grasped the good opportunity and completed the contracts of several environmental protection projects, including Shandong Rushan Urban Water Supply and Discharge PPP Project, Comprehensive Treatment Project for Tanghe River Basin in Shancheng District of Henan Province and Yunan County Domestic Sewage Treatment Bundled PPP Project. Besides, Kangda EP has completed the acquisition of four companies, namelyQitaiheWanxinglong Water Co., Ltd., Dayuan Sewage Treatment Co., Ltd. of Qishan County, Shandong Meiling Environmental Engineering Co., Ltd. and XinzhengXinkang Water Co., Ltd., achieving a remarkable success in its performance.
The Profitability of Water Projects is Constantly Improved
By virtue of large scale and remarkable brand influence, Kangda EP has accurately mastered the positioning of projects, actively promoted the upgrading of water projects and enhanced its influence in the industry by providing products with better quality and more effective services. KangdaEP insists on the improvement of profitability through “products + services”. By December 31, 2016, Kangda EP had signed contracts of 96 franchising services projects (including 90 sewage treatment plants, 2 water supply plants, 3 sludge treatment plants and 1 reclaimed water treatment plant), realizing a daily design scale of 3,363,500 tons and achieving an increase of about 20% of that in 2015. Now the projects implemented by Kangda EP are located in 12 provinces and municipalities of China.
The Eco-industry Era Gives Birth to “Craftsmanship Spirit”
Year 2016 was a challenging year for Kangda EP. However, staff of Kangda EP rose to the challenge and delivered a good report to the public and its shareholders. By December 31, 2016, the total asset of Kangda EP had reached RMB 11.16 billion. In the Eco-industry Era, Kangda EP will grasp more opportunities for development to expand a broader market share in water industrial chains like the comprehensive treatment of basin and the construction of sponge city, reclaimed water project and photovoltaic power generation project, and actively promote the transformation of Kangda EP from a traditional service provider of sewage treatment to a solution provider of urban comprehensive environmental treatment.
