On November 27, 2016, the “10thConference for China Industry-University-Research Institute Collaboration Innovation”, hosted by China Industry-University-Research Institute Collaboration Association and the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province, was grandly held in Hangzhou Great Hall of the People. Lu Yongxiang, former Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering and President of China Industry-University-Research Institute Collaboration Association, Che Jun, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee and Acting Governor of the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province, Huang Wei, Vice Minister of Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China, and Xiang Changle, Secretary of the Secretariat of China Association for Science and Technology, attended the conference.

In 2015, Kangda Group made joint efforts with Graduate School at Shenzhen, Tsinghua University to establish Tsinghua-Kangda Research Institute of Environmental Nanotechnology and Engineering (hereinafter referred to as Tsinghua-Kangda Research Institute). The establishment of Tsinghua-Kangda Research Institute has not only built world’s first-class advanced platform for the research and development of environmental nanotechnology, but also built a scientific research institution for the cultivation of top-level talents and the R&D and application of advanced technology and equipment. Since the innovation efforts made by Kangda Group in the field of industry-university-research institute collaboration is recognized by society and other enterprises of the industry, Kangda Group won the title of “2016 China Industry-University-Research Institute Collaboration Innovation Award” at the conference.

      “China Industry-University-Research Institute Collaboration Innovation Award” is established under the approval of National Office for Scientific & Technology Awards and is the only highest honor of China combining government, industry, university, research and application. By commending advanced units and individuals that make great contributions to the cooperative innovation work of industry, university and research, it aims at fully mobilizing the initiative of all parties including “industry, university, research institute, government, financial institute, intermediary, business, media and application” in establishing enterprise-themed and market-oriented technology innovation system that combines industry, university and research, encouraging the transformation of scientific and technological innovation achievements into practical productivity and promoting the industry-university-research collaboration to enter into a new high.
