On November 29, 2016, the Launching Ceremony of Report and Consulting Services Project of Environment, Social and Governance, also known as ESG Launching Ceremony, was held successfully in the multifunctional conference room on the 6thfloor of Kangda International Environmental Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Kangda EP). Zhang Weizhong, President of Kangda EP, hosted the ceremony and issued a pep talk as well as important instructions about ESG Project at the ceremony. Over 30 guests, including leaders of functional departments and business departments of Kangda EP, staff of ESG Project Team and members of ESG Project Implementation Team assigned to Kangda EP, attended the ceremony. 

      In the course of the meeting, Tang Jiaxin, Managing Partners of EY Insights, He Zhiquan, Director of sustainable development business of EY Insights, and He Jiaen and Qiu Ling, members of ESG Project Implementation Team, delivered speeches on the implementation plan of ESG Project and explained the project respectively.

      The launching of ESG Project aims at meeting the specific requirements of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited, i.e. general disclosure and raising the level of environmental indicator to “comply or explain”, conducting systematic inspection and management on relevant requirements such as environment, general employment and labor issues and operational management and community, and requiring Board of Directors to “take full responsibility for the environment of Kangda EP, society, governance strategy and report”.

      The successful holding of ESG Launching Ceremony meets the requirement of rapid development of Kangda EP and lays a good and solid foundation for the future development of the company.
