It is located in the east section of Beihai Road in Shangqiu City, covering an area of 252.2 mu. The whole plant adopts the A/A/O process, with a total treatment scale of 180,000 tons/day: the scale of the phase-1 project is 80,000 tons/day, which was put into operation in May 2002; the scale of phase-2 project is 100,000 tons/day, which was put into operation in June 2010. Its effluent quality meets the level 1-A standard in Discharge Standard of Pollutants for Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant (GB18918-2002). The phase-2 project started being constructed on June 28, 2009, which was completed and put into operation at the end of June, 2010. It took only 12 months from the start of construction to being put into operation, which demonstrates an astonishing "Kangda Speed".
