Shangqiu No.1 Sewage Treatment Plant

      On the morning of October 11, Zhang Jiaming, Vice Mayor of Shangqiu City, and his delegation visited Shangqiu No. 1 Sewage Treatment Plant to investigate the operation of sewage treatment. Li Changling, Secretary General of the People' Government of Shangqiu, Zhang Keti, Director of Emergency Office of the People' Government of Shangqiu, Fu Shaoyu, Director of Shangqiu Urban Management Bureau, Yan Dongbo, the Deputy Director, Zhang Guangtao, Head of Safety Technology Division of the Urban Management Bureau and Wang Hongxin accompanied to investigate.

      First, Vice Major Zhang Jiaming came to the lobby of the office building to watch the process flow diagram and carefully listened to the detailed explanation of guide in the process technology, the treatment process, the operation state of sewage plant and quality of water in and out. Also, he pointed out the significance of processing technology of Shangqiu No.1 Sewage Treatment Plant and praised the technological achievements having been achieved. Next, Vice Mayor Zhang came to the central control room and carefully observed the operation of mechanical & electrical equipment of the sewage plant, the process of instrument data collection & arrangement and the statistical analysis of water quality and quantity.

      Subsequently, Vice Major Zhang went to the site area, where he investigated the running conditions of water inlets and checked the whole process of sewage treatment on the structures. At the water outlets, he was very concerned about the quality of water out from here. Pan Hongxia, director of Shangqiu No.1 Sewage Treatment Plant responded to his questions one by one, which include "How about the processing capacity of Shangqiu No.1 Sewage Treatment Plant?" and "What standard can the quality of water out reach?" After detailed investigation about the operation situation of Shangqiu No.1 Sewage Treatment Plant, Vice Major Zhang Jiaming gave full recognition to its processing technology and operation. He emphasized that Shangqiu Municipal Party Committee and the People's Government of Shangqiu should attach great importance to improving the quality of water environment, who added that they should effectively improve the water eco-environment and strive to achieve healthy and coordinated development between economic & social development and environmental protection so as to build a beautiful home for the people.
