Shangqiu No.6 Sewage Treatment Plant Takes Various Measures to Guarantee Safe Production During the Epidemic Prevention and Control Period


      On the eve of the Spring Festival in 2020, a sudden outbreak of epidemic spread from Wuhan to the whole country. In the case of comprehensively preventing and controlling the epidemic, Shangqiu No.6 Sewage Treatment Plant took various measures to continuously implement and improve the prevention and control work. In order to cope with the epidemic, Sun Ziqiang, General Manager of Kangda Environmental Protection (Shangqiu) Water Co., Ltd., rapidly deployed and issued an "Emergency Notice on Epidemic Prevention and Control". An emergency leading group for the COVID-19 headed by Sun Ziqiang was set up. A series of epidemic prevention and control measures were issued and systems built to comprehensively control the epidemic. Under the command of Sun Ziqiang, the group leader, and Jia Zhiguo, the deputy group leader, Shangqiu No.6 Sewage Treatment Plant clearly assigned work, put responsibility on everyone and took meticulous measures for prevention and control. The first is to investigate all factory employees to ensure that no employee contacted the people returning from Hubei Province since January 8. At the same time, the emergency plan of deployment and replenishment regarding operation employees during the epidemic period was formulated, ensuring no absence due to quarantine; the second is to purchase a series of epidemic prevention tools, such as protective clothes, goggles, alcohol, and thermometers, and the office buildings and duty rooms must be disinfected regularly. In addition, staff on duty are required to wear masks and inspectors are required to take comprehensive measures for protection; the third is to strictly implement the system of leaders on duty for taking charge of the shifts, and the temperature of staff on duty must be checked and recorded by the leaders on duty every day; the fourth is to strengthen the inspection and the test of water quality to ensure the up-to-standard discharge of outlet water during the epidemic period; the fifth is that staff should have meals separately in the canteen to avoid gathering. All work must be started from details, and during the anti-epidemic period, the safe production and the up-to-standard discharge of the plant must be guaranteed.
