Kangda Environmental Protection (Shangqiu) Water Co., Ltd. Organizes Fire Fighting Training and Emergency Escape Drill

To put the daily safe operation in place and improve employees' competency in fire fighting and ability to take safety precautions and self-rescue, Kangda Environmental Protection (Shangqiu) Water Co., Ltd. organized a fire fighting training and an emergency escape drill on May 29, in which all officials and staff participated.

Wu Bo, an instructor of Henan Fire Protection Association, was specially invited to popularize knowledge. Instructor Wu stressed that the lack of escape skills is an important cause of fire deaths. The serious consequences caused by the lack of safety awareness and unnecessary casualties caused by the lack of self-rescue ability were vividly shown to staff in combination with common fire cases and pictures. In the meantime, the training introduced the main causes of fires in daily life, the way to prevent fires, fire fighting methods corresponding to different fires, matters needing attention in fire fighting, the common sense of self-rescue in an initial fire hazard, and points for attention for the fire escape. In particular, it showed and explained all kinds of fire-fighting equipment for us, which deepened our understanding and operating experience of new fire-fighting equipment.

After the training, under the leadership of Instructor Wu Bo and Plant Manager Pan Hongxia, all officials and staff exercised the escape drill in the fire escape safety tent in the open space of the square in front of the complex building. According to Instructor Wu's requirements, workers who covered their nose and mouth entered the tent in an orderly and calm manner. They successfully found the escape exit in darkness and smoke by following the escape signs.
The training helped employees strengthen safety awareness and improve the ability to prevent fires and cope with initial fire hazards. Most of all, the escape drill enabled everyone to get to know that fires have no mercy. In daily life, every one of us should strengthen fire safety awareness and master the ability to correctly respond to fires and other emergencies.
