      May 12 this year is the National Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Day with the theme of "enhance the emergency response capacity at the grass-roots level, build a solid people's defense for disaster prevention, mitigation and relief ".
      In response to the nation's call, Suzhou Water Affairs held a lecture themed as "implement disaster prevention well, handle disasters composedly" and carried out fire emergency drill with the same theme. In addition, it distributed protective materials such as masks to each employee during the activities in accordance with the epidemic prevention and control requirements of Suzhou. 

      For the drill, the fire control lecturer Xin Min from Suzhou She'an Fire Engineering Co., Ltd. was invited to give guidance at the site of the drill. All the employees participated in the drill.

      Xin Min first explained to the employees the knowledge of escape in a fire and described in detail the correct escape skills that should be mastered in the face of a sudden fire and the ways to correctly use fire extinguishers for self-rescue. Then at the site of the drill,       Xin taught the employees the correct methods of using fire extinguishers in a detailed and clear manner and guided them in a simulated fire to put out open flames with fire extinguishers. All the employees took an active part in the activities, making the atmosphere at the site very lively

      Through the drill, all the staff members of Suzhou Water Affairs have learned about the basic knowledge of fire control in an effective way. Their self-protection ability, sudden fire handling ability, fire extinction skills and the knowledge of evacuating people in an orderly fashion in a fire have all been strengthened. Moreover, through the drill, the team spirit of the employees has been reinforced.
