On July 1, 2020, leaders and experts from the Investigation Group of Ministry of Environmental Protection, Provincial Department of Environmental Protection, Weifang Environmental Protection Agency, etc. visited the Gaomi No. 1 and No.2 Sewage Treatment Plant successively for investigation and supervision in the company of Chen Shanshan, executive vice mayor of Gaomi; Zhang Shusheng, director-general of Gaomi Branch Office of Weifang Ecological Environment Bureau; and Guan Li, deputy director-general of Gaomi Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau.
       They arrived at the Gaomi No. 1 and No.2 Sewage Treatment Plant to patiently listen to the report of the sewage treatment process, discharge standard, sewage disposition, upgrading and reconstruction, etc. by General Manager Yi Xianfu, then investigated the process flow, inlet and outlet water quality, progress of the bidding project, etc. of the two plants. 
       They highly praised the efforts made by the Kangda EP Gaomi Company in terms of safe operation and discharge compliance, and emphasized that importance shall be attached to the energy conservation and discharge reduction, pollution reduction and efficiency improvement during corporate development to promote cleaner production and circular economy. For future development, the discharge standards shall be continuously improved to protect the environment in accordance with increasingly stringent national environmental protection requirements.
       GM Yi Xianfu said that, under the support of the government and leaders, the Kangda EP Gaomi Company will carry out waste treatment scientifically in accordance with the requirements of national environmental protection policy. Meanwhile, it will actively respond to the needs of environmental development, vigorously raise the sewage discharge standard, and ensure the on-schedule completion of tasks, in order to improve the local ecology and environmental water quality of Gaomi.
