Kangda (Dong'e) Water Co., Ltd. Holds Emergency Drill for Flood Control

After entering the rainy season, on July 16, Kangda (Dong'e) Water Co., Ltd. held an emergency drill for flood control in the blower room, electrical substation and other places at high risk by combining the work instruction in the Notice on Practically Carrying out the Flood Control Work in 2020 issued by Kangda EP with its actual situation, aiming to better respond to emergency rainstorm and flood disasters.

The drill aimed at getting employees to know the flood control route, testing whether they made a quick response to a flash flood in each link, whether adopting reasonable emergency measures and whether the security was in place. After GM Fang Kun, the commander in chief of the emergency flood control, gave an order, personnel in each link responded quickly. In a very short time, the supply team made 10 water shutoff sandbags out of woven bags for medicament; the emergency rescue team rapidly installed the emergency sewage pump, added a temporary blow-off line, and simulated the flood disaster site for practicing sewage disposal and emergency rescue. The security manager well recorded a series of handling work, containment action and sewage treatment. The drill, lasting more than one hour, was successfully completed at around 10:30 a.m.

After the drill, GM Fang made a summary for it and said that the drill achieved its aim as it was well prepared, personnel was well-placed and skillful, responsibilities were clear, organization and coordination met the requirements of emergency flood control and division of labor was reasonable. It was believed that through the drill, the staff's awareness of flood control would get further enhanced, establishing a sound foundation for flood control in plants.
