Jiaozuo Branch Company Holds the Establishment of "Cup of Safety & Health" and the Training on Safety Knowledge and Skills 

       On August 20, Jiaozuo Branch Company held the Launching Ceremony of "Cup of Safety & Health" and the Training on Safety Knowledge and Skills, aiming to further strengthen enterprise safety in production, improve employees' safety awareness and quality, build a safe production pattern with all employees' involvement, and actively promote the establishment of "Cup of Safety & Health" competition in the province. Plant Manager Zhao Aiping presided over the meeting, in which General Manager Yuan Jianguang delivered an important address. All members of staff attended the training session, which was instructed by personnel invited from Henan She'an Fire Prevention Center. 

       GM Yuan first notified the spirit of a series of documents related to production safety issued by government departments at the national, provincial and municipal levels, analyzed the current safety production situation, and reviewed the activities carried out in the "Safe Production Month"; then he stressed the importance of safe production in combination with some cases, such as extra serious explosion accident on March 21 in Xiangshui, Jiangsu Province, and the accident of personnel falling into a material tank on July 18 in Wuzhi. He said that safety in production is of paramount importance. While we set a high value on safe production without a shred of slackness, we should also put in place the guaranteed system and measures to practically implement the responsibility system for safe production and consolidate the foundation of safety management. It is necessary to strengthen the safety supervision across the production process and lay emphasis on safety training, worksite management, safety assessment, and entity responsibility, so as to build a strong "firewall" for safety production responsibility. In addition, pre-arranged planning and emergency management should be reinforced to improve the emergency response capacity of safety production. 

       Later on, GM Yuan put forward specific requirements for the establishment of the provincial "Cup of Safety & Health", adding that over the years, we have made great achievements in the competition. Adhering to the tradition of Jiaozuo Branch Company "competing for every champion and winning every prize", we will strive to perform well in the establishment of "Cup of Safety & Health" this year. With the full understanding of the significance of establishing the "Cup of Safety & Health" competition, we will carry out the work with a focus on the theme of "strengthening consciousness, checking hidden dangers, promoting development, and guaranteeing safe and health" this year. Besides, in combination with activities in "Safe Production Month", actions to check and clear hidden dangers should be taken to improve employees' initiative in participating in the competition. Efforts in implementing and strengthening various measures for safe production will enable the company to make a new breakthrough in safety production management.
       Finally, instructor Song from Henan She'an Fire Prevention Center gave a lesson in the training. Combining with fire cases in recent years, especially cases in high-rise buildings and electrical fire, instructor Song delivered a simple and clear explanation on daily fire management, routine inspection, basic knowledge of evacuation and escape, fire emergency and prevention, and correct use of fire fighting equipment. During the period, employees interacted and communicated with each other regarding the potential fire safety hazards in their work and life.

       The Training on Safety Knowledge and Skills organized by Jiaozuo Branch Company started on August 20, with one class every week, and will last until late September, during which time the company will arrange examinations and classes in turn. The training is believed to play an active role in strengthening the safety awareness of all employees, enhancing the ability to prevent accidents, and improving the overall safety production level of the company.
