The phase I (stage one) project is located at the equipment manufacturing park of Dandong New Area. With a total investment of RMB 100 million, the overall project plans to reach a scale of 370,000 m3/d by 2030, covering an area of about 25 hectares. The phase I project plans to reach a scale of 70,000 m3/d, covering an area of 7.4 hectares. It is divided into three stages: stage-one treatment scale is 20,000 m3/d, covering an area of 4.8 hectares, and stage-two treatment scale is 20,000 m3/d, and stage-three treatment scale is 30,000 m3/d. The sewage discharge should meet the Class 1 Grade A standard specified in the current Discharge Standard of Pollutants for Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant (GB18918－2002). After deep dehydration, the sludge will be transported to the Tongxing Refuse Landfill of Dandong for disposal. The construction of the sewage treatment plant began on June 5, 2019, and the trial operation began on June 26, 2020. The plant reached the discharge standard on August 31, 2020.
