On the morning of February 20, 2021, Gong Kuisheng, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director-General of Henan Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and Wang Guangjun, Director of the Urban Management Division of the Department investigated safe operational management in the Jiaozuo Branch Company of Kangda EP. They were accompanied by Yang Tingzhong, Director-General of Jiaozuo Urban Management Bureau, Huangfu Shangxu, the Deputy Director-General, and some other municipal officials.

      Yuan Jianguang, General Manager of Jiaozuo Branch Company accompanied the provincial and municipal officials to carry out on-the-spot investigations into the operational situations of Jiaozuo No.1 and No.2 plants and reported safe operation management work of the plants in detail. The officials watched the drill of the standardized process of operations in confined underground spaces on the scene. They highly affirmed the drill and the safety management of the plants. Gong Kuisheng stressed, "The main cause of accidents during operations in confined underground spaces is non-standard processes, which likely result in casualties. The purpose of the drill is to let all operation personnel be familiar with the knowledge of safety in operations in confined spaces, improve operation and salvage abilities, and effectively implement the relevant requirements and measures on the front line of management and operation."

      The provincial officials made higher requirements for safe production based on specific accident cases and had an in-depth exchange with General Manager Yuan Jianguang on how to combine scientific management, fine operation, and intelligent operation with the safe operation of the sewage treatment plant.
      The provincial and municipal officials commended Jiaozuo Branch Company for its safe operation management work, and they hoped that Jiaozuo Company will make persistent efforts to ensure the safe, continuous operation of sewage treatment facilities.
