On February 4, 2021, a five-member sewage treatment performance assessment team led by Song Yuan, Chief of the Industry Section of Pingdingshan City Administration Bureau, visited Haiwan Sewage Treatment Plant for the assessment of the plant's operation management performance in 2020. They were accompanied by Li Yong, General Manager of Haiwan Plant, and the responsible persons of relevant departments.

      As per indicators for operation management performance assessment agreed in the Franchise Agreement and the assessment work plan, the team investigated in every operation and technology workshop, checked files, and listened to reports to learn about the operation and production situation of Haiwan Plant. It assessed the plant's all aspects of operation and production in detail in 2020, including production management, safety management, water quality and quantity management, sludge treatment and control, plant environmental management, use ratios of facilities and equipment, environmental profits, energy consumption, material consumption, and serviceability rates of facilities and equipment. 

      The team spoke highly of the operation situation of Haiwan Plant, especially its plant environmental management, green areas, facility management, and effluent treatment quality. Song Yuan hoped that Haiwan Plant would continue to abide by the Franchise Agreement to promote safe production, achieve all performance goals, strictly implement national environmental protection policies, realize stable and up-to-standard sewage discharge, and lay solid facility, operation, and management foundations to ensure safe operation and further development of Haiwan Plant in 2021.
