On the afternoon of March 25, 2021, Yang Tao and Huang Jipeng, officials from the Northwest Inspection Bureau, Ministry of Ecology and Environment led a working team to investigate in Taiyuan Kangjin Water Co., Ltd. Division Chief Chen of Taiyuan Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment, Zhang Jianchen, Deputy Division Chief of the Drainage Management Office under Taiyuan Municipal Urban and Rural Management Committee, Zhang Chen, former Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of the Office, Zheng Xuebin, Deputy General Manager of the Construction Center of Kangda EP, Wang Bin, Vice Chairman of Taiyuan Kangjin Water Co., Ltd., Chen Caiping, General Manager of Taiyuan Kangjin, and some other executives accompanied the working team. 

      The officials of the working team inspected water inlets in the plant, the primary settling tanks, biological pools, and water outlets of the phase-I step-1 works, and the MBR membrane pools and water outlets of the phase-I step-2 works, as well as the general water outlet in the plant along the Xiaohe River. During the inspection, they carefully listened to the report of Chen Caiping on plant construction and development, technological processes, sewage treatment capacity, and some other matters. For their questions about plant operation and treated sewage discharge, General Manager Chen answered in detail. Afterward, the officials went to the central control room and the laboratory of the plant, where they checked all the real-time data and records of production, operation, and chemical testing of the plant.

      The working team praised Taiyuan Kangjin for its smooth operation and management. The officials stressed that greater efforts should be made to further improve the monitoring system for water inlets and outlets and continuously enhance the efficiency of facilities and their ability for sewage treatment. Also, they said that all people of Taiyuan Kangjin must pay special attention to existing problems and potential risks and strengthen their sense of responsibility and precaution consciousness, to ensure the safe and stable operation of the plant and therefore facilitate the improvement of the water quality of the Fenhe River and the surrounding living environment.

      The praise from the team is truly encouraging for Taiyuan Kangjin people, who said that they will overcome all difficulties to strengthen operation and management and strive to achieve energy conservation and consumption reduction. They will vigorously create new situations in work of all aspects in a realistic and pragmatic manner, continuously learn and implement President Xi Jinping's thought on ecological civilization in depth and strengthen the awareness of environmental protection, rectify the problems found during the inspection, keep discharging treated sewage in strict accordance with relevant standards, and improve sewage treatment capacity and technological level, to fulfill all productive tasks and guarantee the long-term orderly operation of the plant.
