Teachers and Students of Taiyuan University of Technology Visit Taiyuan Kangjin Water Co., Ltd.

      On the morning of March 23, a hundred teachers and students from the environmental engineering major of Taiyuan University of Technology visited Taiyuan Kangjin Water Co., Ltd. Zhang Wenyan, general manager assistant of the company warmly received them. 

      The teachers and students visited the sand table model of the plant in the office building and the production and operation sites of the step-1 works and step-2 works in three groups, which were led by Assistant Zhang Wenyan, Zhang Guopeng, director of Cleaning Workshop, and Niu Zhaokun, the deputy director, respectively. They carefully learned about the general situation of the plant and the development of the company and the plant's production processes, sewage treatment capacity, and equipment and facilities. The students witnessed the whole process of domestic wastewater from being preliminarily treated in water inlets, biologically treated, and advancedly treated to being discharged according to relevant standards through water outlets, a process from being black and odorous to clean. Seeing what they had learned in books applied in reality, the students were very excited.

      After the visit, the students discussed with their teachers what they had seen and thought about with great interest and raised questions relating to sewage treatment and industrial prospects. With great patience, the teachers answered their questions one by one. This visit has greatly inspired the students' interest in the industry and in learning.
      Taiyuan Kangjin Water Co., Ltd., as a key project under the environmental supervision of the central government and operating enterprise for the municipal and provincial major sewage treatment project in Taiyuan, has been continuously making contributions to the improvement of water environments to become a benchmarking enterprise in the industry and further fulfill its social responsibility. Since its completion, Taiyuan Kangjin has received college student groups and other social groups multiple times, thereby playing its educational role in environmental protection and strengthening the awareness of environmental protection and ecology awareness of students and citizens.
